How We Began...

Under the guidance of the NOVA Loudoun Campus Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, CCT was formed in 2003 with a mission to entertain, enlighten, and educate the diverse community in which the campus resides.  Productions are produced through the unique collaborative effort of community members as well as NOVA faculty, staff and students. 

2nd Flight Productions Theatre Company was officially formed in March of 2003 by six recent college graduates who had met and become best friends as members of the student-run State Your Name Theatre Company at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.  As directors, actors, producers and designers, the founders committed to forming a company that would fill the need for community theater in the NOVA area.  The company strives to bring accessible, high quality theatre to the diverse community in which they perform.

The two companies are thrilled to announce their merger.  "This is an excellent opportunity for both theaters," said Shannon Khatcheressian, 2nd Flight’s Artistic Director.  The merger was finalized in April 2008 and all productions will now be performed at the Waddell Theater, located on the NOVA Sterling Campus.  The company will be performing three shows for the 08-09 season, with the third slot remaining open for guest director applications.
